- The Macedonian scored a brace in the victory against Falkirk
- Miovski has scored three goals in his last two games
- 26-year-old has the second highest shot conversion rate
Bojan Miovski has the second highest conversion rate of strikers in the SPFL, according to statistics posted on social media.
The figures have the Macedonian with a conversion rate of 23.3% only below Livingston’s Jeremy Bokila on 33.3%.
He is joined on the list by fellow Rangers striker Youssef Chermiti who is three places below on 19%.
Evidence backs argument Rohl should start Miovski in the split
Rangers were a different side to the one that ended the first half against Falkirk when Rohl switched to a 4-2-2-2 formation and brought Miovski off the bench.
The 26-year-old went on to score a brace in the nine-goal epic and with the striker firing on all cylinders, it has only increased his confidence in front of goal.
Therefore, the Falkirk match alone should convince Rohl that the key to getting even more out of Miovski is to partner him with an accompanying striker.
And with the best shot conversion of any Rangers player, it adds to the argument that the Macedonian deserves to start in the next five matches.
Miovski played the final 16 minutes in the win against Dundee United and then the second half against the Bairns, so the natural next step for an in-form striker is to play the full match or the vast majority.
Higher rating than Hearts’ Shankland shows Rangers’ momentum
Miovski’s rating is also superior to Hearts’ Lawrence Shankland who sits fifth from bottom on 17.6%.
However, it is worth noting that the 30-year-old spent a lengthy spell on the sidelines for the current league leaders, so there is a scenario where that figure could have been much higher.
Having said that, the fact that Rangers have two strikers on that list, one of which has scored three goals in their last two is telling.
And that is because, it is another addition to the mounting evidence that the momentum heading into the split is not with Hearts or Celtic, but with Danny Rohl’s men.

The clinical edge of your strikers is key to any team, especially in a title race and in Miovski, Rangers have one who is providing the goods at the perfect time.
Therefore, Rohl should offer Miovski the opportunity to turn his displays of late into strong 90-minute performances by handing him his first league start since February next weekend.
And if that is the case, the challenge then falls to Miovski to reward the trust placed in him and fire Rangers to the title.
