Rangers march towards Sunday’s Old Firm match knowing their own title ambitions are out of reach, but that they can still deny Celtic in their own Premiership quest.
A win for Danny Rohl’s side at Celtic Park would also boost their own hopes of a second-place finish and Champions League football next season.
Danny Rohl responds to Ibrox exit claims
However, rumours persist that Rohl will depart Ibrox during the summer to join relegated Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
“I was disappointed after Monday, as we had worked so hard for the last six months to get to this point,” Rohl said.
“My full focus is on Rangers, as I have one focus, to win trophies and bring success to the club.”
Derek Ferguson questions Danny Rohl
Former Gers midfielder Derek Ferguson questioned the German head coaches ability to be a success at Ibrox.
“Does he win the big games? Not really,” he said.
“You put that all into the pot, and you think, ‘Is that good enough to take into next season?
“I’m not so sure.”
Tuur Rommens set for starting return
Tuur Rommens looks set to make his first start since his return from injury against Martin O’Neill’s side on Sunday.
He returned as a substitute at Tynecastle but is set for a full return against Celtic.
“I always try to win, and I have this winner’s mentality,” said the 23-year-old.
“It was very frustrating to be on the sidelines for three games now.”
Craig Moore back Bears
Former Gers captain Craig Moore has called on his former club to end Celtic’s title hopes and win the game.
“You’ve got to go and win, you’ve got to try and go out and win,” the Australian said.
“Losing is going to be a disaster.
“Rangers still have a role to play in the title.”
Paul Nsio compared to World Cup winner
Meanwhile Ibrox youth starlet Paul Nsio has spoken about comparisons between himself and Paul Pogba.
“I like to run with and without the ball,” he said.
“My team-mates often say I have a similar style of play to Paul Pogba.
“I like to express myself on the pitch, score goals and create assists.”
The Rangers youngster also admitted the former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder is the player who inspires him most.
“I’m inspired by Paul Pogba,” Nsio added.
“Even if he made things look easy, he worked for years with a lot of discipline. It shows young players that talent alone is not enough.”

Rangers shown on BBC comedy
Finally, Rangers have been showcased in recent BBC comedy hit Amandaland.
Regular character Mal, played by Samuel Anderson, can be seen wearing a Rangers jacket throughout several of the early episodes.
During several scenes featuring a football side showcased in the show, Anderson is seen sporting a Castore-branded Rangers coaching jacket.
A detail that has already attracted attention from football fans watching the new season.
The former Doctor Who star has no obvious connection to the Ibrox club.
Anderson was born in Birmingham to a Jamaican father and an Irish mother, and there is no known public affiliation with Rangers.
